Why was this information critical? Because people did not understand they needed extra layers of protection to BLOCK infection.

You may remember Fauci saying vax would largely prevent symptomatic dz but not nec block transmission so masks shld be kept on, & that asymptomatically infected people could poss transmit (duh).
