Pls don't take this cheatsheet too seriously. We're bouncing around 'what ifs?' & want to discuss how to distribute to genuine users. It's unlikely that ALL of the criteria to be used - it'd be too restrictive! Instead think of it as menu to pick few dishes from for main course😉

@andrewsaunders hinted at couple of dates for something big:

This could be resumption of Odyssey or something else, not airdrop. Still there's HIGH chance snapshot's already been taken, based on Bankless podcast alone

We divide potential airdrop criteria into 2 categories:

1️⃣ Past & current users (reward loyalty)
2️⃣ Target new users (marketing move to attract new users)

Doing both make sense: 1 avoids community backlash, 2 brings in new blood for even higher TVL

❓AIRDROP CRITERIA? - 1️⃣ Arbi user

Let's start with past/current user of Arbi. This could be divided into 'early' (eg first 6 months since their launch on 31 Aug 21) and 'later'. Some think that Odyssey (21 June 22) is also a dividing line between the early and late

'Repeat' user is probably as important. Several metrics can be used for that. Eg variety of contracts called shows user’s deep roots in the ecosystem, higher nonce generates more fees for the foundation, etc

NFTs. Some say Smolbrains holders to get >$ARBI. Imo favoritism towards 1 collection sends the wrong signal to others thinking of deploying on Arbi. A broader NFT criteria makes more sense. But what do we know?

Donor. Wait what? You can donate to projects on Arbi? Yes - @clrfund runs periodic quadratic funding rounds. Requires @BrightIDProject, so hard to sybil 👍

Voter. Active governance participants for protocols native to Arbi might be rewarded. These are voters of $GMX, $MAGIC, $UMAMI & others

Quester. Some say having participated in Snapshot voting for Odyssey is a potential multiplier. Unlikely imo - team admitted it was heavily botted & voting was unfair on tokenless projects. Odyssey participation itself is likely more important

Quester. There's also other quests apart from Odyssey, such as the one on @layer3xyz that will earn you Arbi badge NFT:

In case you were wondering if it's "official" quest - it is! Arbitrum has a collab with Layer3

Quester. Last, guild.xyz/arbitrum quests that grant you roles in Discord are likely there just as community engagement tool, ie just roles. But they can give you 💡 which native apps Arbi favours for a potential native app user multiplier

❓AIRDROP CRITERIA? - 2️⃣ Target new users

Now to 2️⃣ Target new users. Optimism targeted L1 users even if they never used them before. It would make sense for Arbi to do something similar to invite new users. Criteria can be gas spent on L1, high NFT volume, being ETH staker etc

But copying Optimism's criteria like-for-like (Gitcoin donor on L1, DAO voter on L1) is less likely imo. Arbi team tend to think that they're better than Optimism so it would be out of character for them to simply copy all from rivals

In Feb Bankless published this article speculating that rollups might vampire airdrop to Ethereum 'killers'. It's still possible but we're no longer in Solana season so there's potentially less of a need rn 🧛

Last but not least, it would be cool if some $ARBI went to contributors, such as those that helped out in Discord, Github (GitPOAP?) etc

@HopProtocol even distributed to 'Twitter contributors' 👀. @andrewsaunders, FYI we're hard at work promoting Arbi here

What do you think about the potential criteria in the cheatsheet and the proposed scoring?

Ps here's some info on our track record for hitting multipliers. With $OP airdrop, we managed to hit 5 out of 6 ($12711 at current price, >15k OP tokens)

We use @earndrop_io Prime to keep track of airdrops. Check them out

But anyone could make such claims & get screenshot from somewhere, s we minted OP Airdrop recipient (5+ multipliers)
