SitRep - 28/10 - "Airdefense has arrived, but we need more"
An overview of the daily events about the war between #Russia and #Ukraine. In special today we look at the front around #Svatove where news came out of a renewed AFU offensive.
1/X
As you are used to from me, we start with the losses of Russia. We are just 300 men losses away from the 70.000 mark. As a comparison, in the Soviet-Afghan war, the Soviet Union lost about 15.000 soldiers in 9 years. You do the math...
Lots of trophies and destroyed equipment appeared today. Some of them caught on tape.
1x #T90M
2x Russian field position with (152mm) ammo left
2x #2C33 Msta-SM
1x #T80BV
1x #BMP
Footage was shared about captured equipment in recently liberated #Nevske. Three Russian servicement were also taken captive.
Just before this SitRep, footage came out of TikTokkers in boybags as a result of that strike. It was said that around 70-100 Chechens were killed and the same number wounded. Numbers are yet unconfirmed.
Ukraine has asked Italy for SAMP-T airdefense complexes. Meanwhile it also asked to the US to provide Avenger airsystems to counter Iranian drone attacks.
On the other hand there was good news. Mayor Klitschko from #Kyiv announced that the first airdefense systems delivered by Western countries are now operating in the capital.
The Turkish defense company Baykar plans to complete the construction of its production plant in Ukraine in two years
CEO Haluk Bayraktar, on the sidelines of the SAHA exhibition in Istanbul, told Reuters that plans are moving forward, despite obstacles created by the invasion.
The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, and the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, visited the crossing across the Dnipr in the Kherson region. According to him, the crossing is empty and the main work to evacuate everyone is completed.
Footage came out of #Mariupol, showing humanitarian aid being supplied to locals. We didn't forget you and we will come back to liberate the lands that are yours.
Yesterday for the second time the AFU attacked a column with fuel trains and the local storage tanks in #Shakthars'ke. Today the aftermath was caught on tape. We can safely say that that area is done and can't be used anymore.
➡️The AFU 🇺🇦 has reportedly cut the P66 highway. This is in line with earlier pressure from the Ukrainian forces. Most likely either the #Nezhuryne area or the crossing near Ploshchanka.
➡️Russian sources report AFU activity near Orlyans'ke-Nauhol'ne axis.
➡️I expanded the area of AFU control near more eastwards towards #Kreminna, given attack reports on the P66 which require close positioning. Also there are no more 🇷🇺 counterattacks reported, shelling decreased
➡️AFU shelling increased
➡️There is AFU activity south of Kreminna
The past 2-3 days have been a bit quiet from the Ukrainian side, partly due to the bad weather and a lot of rain. Since today it has been dry again in large parts of Ukraine and dry -not too cold- weather is on the way. This will likely lead to new activity.
Welcome to the daily overview of the events of the war in Ukraine. We zoom in on general matters and of course the front line. With today a special look at #Kupyansk-#Svatove, #Kreminna and #Kherson.
1/X
As usual we start with the russian losses, which are slightly less then usual. This most likely has to do with the bad weather, making advancements and therefore direct combat less easy. We expect there hasn't been much direct combat the last day.
Last evening the AFU managed to shoot down 19 #Shahed-136 kamikaze drones and one X-59 cruisemissile.
In total 20 drones were launched. That makes a hitrate of 95%.
A daily overview of events in Ukraine. With a special look at the area around Kreminna, Kupyansk and Svatove. In addition, the AFU was active today with targeted attacks on concentrations of Russian personnel and equipment.
1/X
Russian losses per 26/10. We see a very sharp uptake in lost tanks and (armored) vehicles. Which makes sense given all the trophy footage that came out recent days.
The AFU shot down a Ka-52 attack helicopter in the south around 4pm.
SitRep - 24/10 - "Exactly 8 months ago it started"
The daily summary of the events of the war in #Ukraine. With today -finally again- a number of confirmed liberated villages by the AFU in the north of Ukraine.
Today exactly 8 months ago, Russia started the war.
Thread!

We start like usual with enemy losses:
A higher uptake in men losses is recorded. Also slightly more armoured vehicles are seen captured or destroyed. This is in line with a lot of new footage coming out of either captured or damaged equipment.
SitRep - 23/10 - "Drones, missiles and a petal mine"
Today we go back to the daily happenings in #Ukraine. Because of a network deactivation/cut-off in Kherson by Russia, we didn't receive many updates. But let's speak about what we do know! We look at different front lines
1/X
We start with the daily losses on the Russian side. Nothing special, just another day in the office. What does start to stand out is the constant (high) loss of artillery systems. That should start to take its toll on Russia.
Overnight a series of attacks hit critical infrastructure in the country. A total of 16 drones were shot down between 12pm and 2am. Ukraine really urgently needs more airdefense.
➡️Today #Israel 🇮🇱 provided intel to #Ukraine to combat the Iranian drones in a more effective way.
An overview of the daily events during the war in Ukraine. With a special look at #Kherson and #Bakhmut. Today unfortunately we saw massive cruise missile attack on critical infrastructure of Ukraine resulting in outages.
We start with the Russian losses. Compared to yesterday we see a normal rate. We are working towards 70.000.
Overnight Russia tried to strike Ukraine again with a lot of drones. The AFU shot down 10. Unfortunately some hit their destination, inflicting minor but hard damage. Also 18 cruise missiles were shot down this morning.
