🧵3. Financial support assisted with several publications throughout 2022, benchtop experiments, and the continuation of our clinical trials. Also, in 2022 we discovered that gadolinium-rich nanoparticles form in the human kidney from routine diagnostic care.
🧵4. We are unaware of any other metallic nanoparticle that aggregates incidentally in humans. These intracellular nanoparticles undoubtedly impact cellular physiology and are highly suspect as the first step in causing symptoms associated with #gadolinium exposure.
🧵5. With your support, we plan on continuing objective experiments concerning magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent safety. We want to keep you, our community partner, apprised and involved in this journey.
🧵6. Contributions will continue to be directed to scientific research, publishing these discoveries, and using these data in applications for more grant funding.
🧵7. Successful completion of our studies will provide novel insight into: 1) central mechanisms by which heavy metals trigger systemic diseases and 2) rational therapeutic targets for prevention and treatment.
