1/ Operational situation update/ #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on January 29, 2022
#RussianArmy is still moving forward in a dozen of different areas & put maximum pressure but these are still very minor success. North #Bakhmut area one of them.

2/ Quick recap.
first, about #Kupiansk #Svatove area
the general FEBA line remained quite the same for the last couple months even if extremely violent combats are happening everywhere & Ru trying to push back #UAarmy everywhere & vice versa. no real gain. only attrition for both

3/ the only thing that is quite "annoying" imo is that #UAarmy had to defend & destroyed (digesting) a very important "mass" of Vatniks there, & they r still enable to secure a famous natural line of defense that would have give them some "air" before Spring & next Ru offensives

4/ Russ shelled again more than 15 settlements today indicating direction of actions, including #Vilshana (on & off), #Kotlyarivka, #Krokhmalne & #Berestove-Kharkiv region & of course #novoselivske #Stelmakhivka, #Makiivka #Nevske in Luhansk region.
still nothing real new there

5/ As for the #Svatove to #Kreminna area. Ru still sending all the "reserve" troops they can in order to "keep" #Ukr at bay, & keep full control south of #Svatove and sadly in ref to last week, #Ukraine have lost some good grounds in some places.
Still fights in #Chervonopopivka

6/ there is a real Ru dynamic now there, as some good reinforcements are working their way forward.

7/ So this not a true strategic problem as long as Ukr still maintain a good defense in the area, but frankly what is happening is a real tactical gain by Ru. of course Ukr r still "playing" poke the bear here, & they moved out to avoir more massive casualties. This is not a tue

8/ defeat in this retreat. but it creates some big problems as Ru, each time they are gaining back this lands are filling them with like thousands of all kind of land mines/traps (tons of vid out there on that subject) & this will be one more time, injuries/long time to gain back

9/ next : The situation in #Bilohorivka is still slightly moving but UKR remain master. Same in #Spirne or #Verkhnokyamanske

10/ now : The situation North East of #Bakhmut is extremely difficult for sure & Ukr forces r now more in control & hold on, everywhere bc it is still clearly one of the main obj of #WagnerPMC .
They r still trying to move but with less "envy" & men right now like in #Rozdolivka

of course the Ru moves r very logical here & trying to gain easy control on direct land then High grounds to totally achieve pincer move around #Bakhmut

12/ Ru are trying to exploit all their previous positions and are really highly motivated with previous gains.. it seems that they have crossed the river at least on couple areas and then several very intense skirmishes r happening in these areas. #Blahodatne #Paraskoviyivka

13/ Ru still on offensive in south #Bakhmut Ukr repelled on #Ivanivskeke & #Klishchiyivka.
the situation is very fluid & it's still hard to make definitive front line. Ru are struck by precise arty, go back then come again launch offensive.. etc.
so there is more a "grey" zone

14/ rather than definitive positions!
so one more time be careful as i see some friends out there RT some "definitive" map because Wagner say so, then a pseudo "legit" twittos, just grab the info as he want to creates drama/news and be "hyped"..
truth is no bunker position.

15/ On this front the rashists shelled 21 settlements, including #BilaHora #Kurdyumivka, #Mayorsk (Majorsk fra) & #NiuYork -General Staff
Ru have stopped trying to go there and totally waste their ressources... for now.
as they r stupid & do not apply only one strong direction

16/ Nothing particular in the direction of #NiuYork #Avdiivka - the usuals.
donkeys poking their heads out of their trenches and expecting to live next up to next tea time... ( or vodka for Russians)
The DNR are just trying to shell their way through. no initiative whatsoever.

17/ In the #Avdiivka direction Ru shelled #Berdychi, #Vesele, .. , #Vodiane, #Pervomayske, #Nevelske
Ukr are having some difficulties in the area of #Vodiane but they contained Ru attacks everywhere else for the last months. only small incremental gains with ton of losses.

18/ after their "monumental" gain in #Pisky lol (Ru talked about it literally like a Stargate back then) as explained dozen times then, they are not able to capitalize on it bc of terrain (so late Spring we'll see if they dare really moving forward again)
right now, they r stuck

19/ Ukr repelled Ru attacks in the areas of #Vodyane, #Maryinka #Mariinka , #Pobyeda – General Staff
the situation in Mariinka is really special to be honest as i have several time and reason why i never ever go "street by street" in this kind of conflict when doing maps.

20/ claimed thousands times same building taken, same street under control, advancing 5000km in a 50m area.
Anyway all other attacks in this area are still stalling. nothing substantial and anyway tons of other fortified cities behind to defend even better.
so no worries at all

21/ concerning #Vuhledar area.. clearly ru are pushing as hard as they can, and some concerns are real there. but as we can see on the map, they won't go far even if they have some success. so no real concern.

Non le fait de prendre #Vuhledar ne changerait rien du tout, puisque la route (tiret jaune) n'est plus utilisée de toute façon pour ravitailler le front de ce côté là. donc STFU.

23 / concerning #VelykaNovosilka the situation is stable. so nothing special to report.
Ru just failed in this area.

24/ Concerning the direction of #Haliupol #Huliaipol #Houliaïpole some "actions" from Ru as they tried to push through their previous positions & recorded gain. but it was stabilized. they lost enough in the area to understand they need 10x the amount of men/material to succeed.

25/ Last map tonight :

nothing more to talk about than previous tweet.
small gain in one village by RU recorded in months.

26/ last area not really covered... the front line on the #Dniepro river determine some absolute real frontier & nothing changes it. despite all the fuzz we had from some accounts who were dreaming/expecting the next "debarquement de Normandie" to take place...

27/ shelling #Mykhaylivka, #Havrylivka, #Dudchany, #Kachkarivka, #Chervonyy Mayak, #Odradokamyanka, #Ponyativka, #Respublikanets, #Kozatske, #Tyahynka, #Komyshany and #Kherson (as expected)
