of course Tetsuo turns out to be bad news indeed but at least he's mostly blowing up military equipment; to the people of Neo-Tokyo, it must have felt (at first) like a relief from an intolerable deadlock. at *last*, the avenging rage of the people had some visible shape.

the funny thing about our stylishly marketed faux-revolutionary "independent" crowd—the folks currently clustering around @elonmusk and @mtaibbi and @Timcast and all that gang—is that they're actually _terrified_ of that genuine full-blooded *wrath*.

yes, it's partly an *act* when @MrAndyNgo or @lhfang get sad-eyed about "antifa violence", especially over trivia like getting milkshaked, but...it's not ALL an act. they really are scared by people who don't fear or respect the police. it's an emotion they can't feel.

fascısts are violent but it's always of a chaotic, impulsive character, against weak targets and with the cops just out of sight to provide unspoken backup—the @ThisIsKyleR method of committing murder. it's murder out of twisted *spite*, not genuine revolutionary rage.

the decades of propagandistic media designed to make cops look like real-life superheroes have done their damage to the @Timcast / @mtaibbi / @elonmusk crowd: these clowns think cops are *working class*, and much of their "working class" sentiment is mere worship of cops.

so they try to have themselves some sort of imitation revolution—I'd compare @elonmusk to Bonaparte, but I don't hate Bonaparte THAT much. (still don't like him)

anyway #ElonMusk is far more Louis Napoleon than Napoleon. what do you think, @mtaibbi?
