She’s successfully managed to convince a bunch of her followers on Facebook that anyone who uses the #ActuallyAutistic tag is a “fake” and isn’t actually autistic and is self diagnosed and not autistic at all. The #ActuallyAutistic hashtag is a tag for Autistic people to connect with each other and find relatable posts. It’s a community and it saved my life. The #ActuallyAutistic hashtag isn’t used by people faking being Autistic. Just because so many of us support self diagnosis it doesn’t mean we are all self diagnosed. It is NOT okay to go around accusing people online of not being Autistic. You can’t accuse someone of lying about their disability/ condition. It’s DISGUSTING for someone to do that and is blatant bullying. #WeSeeYouConnie
There’s a reason I was diagnosed late. My mum picked my Autism up when I was a baby. She worked with children so could spot the signs. Sadly services just focused on me having a terminally sick sister. Rather than me as an individual.

Monday was my cardiology appointment.
Scans show my heart is structurally good… YAY 🙈. But the bummer is my heart is extremely sensitive, so many things can trigger me into a heart episode… even walking triggers it, stress, exercise and even just standing up. 🙃
He mentioned their could be an small issue with the sodium channel. I’m being booked in to have a heart monitor fitted for a set amount of days to then see what’s fully going on and see if they can help me.
Usually medication would be recommended in circumstances like mine but with my heart really sensitive they are concerned about my heart reacting to it too much. there’s a few things I thought were important to talk about that me and other advocates in the community have been discussing. It seems that in this community if you do one thing wrong then there’s nothing you can do to stop people coming after you despite apologising
and publicly and learning from what you did wrong. It’s almost as if you get bullied and chased out of the community and there’s no recovering from if as people won’t let you. That isn’t okay. It pushes people out of the community and isolated them.
