Yesterday we posted an announcement in our Discord with a couple of important updates.

In this smol thread we share the same announcement, so everyone is up to date🫡

- Current borrowing rates
- This week's $GLP rate
- Platypus reimbursement
- What's coming

🧵1/11
gm! Couple of updates

1⃣ We just got a couple million extra in the pools from our DeltaPrime frens🙌This significantly lowers borrowing rates to:

#AVAX 12.32% -> (now 12.57%)
#USDC 13.68% -> (13.49%)
#USDT 8.45% -> (9.27%)
#BTC 7.43% -> (7.56%)
#ETH 7.89% -> (9.29%)

2/11 Image
2⃣Simultaneously $GLP yields will still be high in at least the next 8 days, with an expected base APR of 34.07% (-> 33.68%), leading to a @yieldyak_ $GLP farm base APY of 40%-45% (-> 49.1%).

How high can you get that?

3/11 Image
🐂Bulls borrow stables ( $USDC, $USDt) to mint $GLP.

🐻Bears borrow a (combination of) non stables ( $AVAX, $BTC.b, $WETH.e) to mint $GLP.

🦀Crabs partially hedge their position by taking the weights as shown in the @GMX_IO dashboard to reduce their exposure to a minimum.
4/11 Image
3⃣@Platypusdefi reimbursement are incoming 💰👍

@vector_fi is currently working on getting the contracts ready, so we'll soon be updated on that.

As Vector received 52% of the provided funds this round, we will receive 52% of the provided funds as well.

5/11 Image
So if you had 100 USDC in the pool, you will receive 52 USDC in your Prime Account.

Keep in mind that if you compounded this pool with borrowed funds, the debt is compounded as well, potentially leading to no, or low collateral for your specific Prime Account.

6/11
Our collected reimbursement fees in the 4 days after the exploit will be redistributed over the accounts to make all depositors whole (surplus below, BTC is $0.01 in the red)

Leftover reimbursement fees are then redistributed over affected borrowers, based on stake 🫡

7/11 Image
4️⃣ As you know, we are getting a lot of upgrades ready.

We recently posted a tweet asking you what you want us to put the most focus on, and a lot of you mentioned that Depositor loyalty rewards should be our main priority rn.

You ask, we deliver👍

8/11 Image
While we put extra workload on this, do know that it isn't "either / or".

From Nightmode to the stats page, and everything in between, it's all coming thoon.

.

9/11
We aim for (and so far maintained) one value-bomb every two weeks, yet in the end safety is our #1 priority.

So forgive us if one of these bangers takes two-point-five weeks instead of two 😉

10/11
That's it for today sers and serdesses. Have an awesome Wednesday, remember to optimize your Prime Account,

and Let's. [Redacted]. G. 🫡🫡🫡

Happy Wednesday🎉

Sharing a couple of today's wins:

🏆TVL crossed $10M
🏆#4 monthly grower in DeFi
🏆Account APY on $GLP crossed 500% mark

Feeling bullish 🐂🐃

1/5🧵 ImageImageImage
🏆TVL crossed $10M🏆

DeltaPrime is growing. Moreover, we are setting the stage for #Avalanche to unlock its trapped liquidity.

Out of the $12,9M in TVL, $11,3M is actively flowing back into the Avalanche ecosystem. A record in efficient borrowing.

Let's Unlock #Avalanche Image
🏆#4 monthly grower in DeFi🏆

Although today's $2.7M was not yet calculated into this, we have been one of the fastest growers in DeFi over the past month.

This sets the stage for a great 2023. We can't wait to continue this growth. Image

"17% interest to borrow USDC is crazy"

" 11% to borrow #AVAX ? Why do that?"

What if I told you that these three things are true:
✅Most of our users who borrow, are profiting
✅The interest rates will increase further this week
✅Not a single person borrowing will mind

Why?🧵
First a look at what makes people (yours truly included) borrow at these rates in the first place:

The price you pay

Yes, you can borrow USDC on AAVE for 2.42%, but what will you do with it?

After all, you just locked 120% of your USDC in #AVAX.

Now, that is stuck...
That AVAX, could have yielded 7.6% on @vector_fi, deepening @Platypusdefi liquidity.

Or you could have swapped it into sAVAX and farmed that on @vector_fi. That would've yielded you 13.55% instead

now it's collecting dust at 1.5%

Did you ever calculate that opportunity cost?

Legal gave the go, let's dive🧵
♥️Health neutral♥️

A health neutral strat mitigates liquidation risk.

This can be set up by depositing and borrowing the same (or if peg remains, pegged asset).

Because your borrowed value and collateral have a correlation of 1, you won't get liquidated.

Whenever we talk about DeltaPrime, it goes something like this:

DP: "..so you can deposit 100K, borrow 400K and there are no credit checks. You can use the full 500K and we won't have a clue who you are."

Anon: "Sounds risky"

"It is not, here is why: " 🧵 1/8
Traditionally, whenever you deposit collateral, this gets locked up in the protocol where you deposit it.

You deposit $100K #AVAX as collateral and borrow 80K $USDC?

Your 100K is now trapped and ready for liquidation if $AVAX drops in price.

2/8
In trapping this liquidity, loan providers can enforce repayment.

While it renders a lot of liquidity unusable, this system does allow for decentralized, trustless lending, making credit checks obsolete.

That's why this has long been the main form of lending in web3.
