The Bonn Climate Conference (#SB58) — a crucial international summit which will shape the response to the #ClimateCrisis — ended yesterday.

The #SB58 is where the agenda & priorities for the next major international climate summit #COP28 are shaped.

Our Director @chilledasad100 has been exposing wealthy countries refusing their responsibilities & demanding that #ClimateJustice is at the centre of that agenda. 2/7

In the conference rooms, and in the hallways, we have been demanding a different route forward — one that prioritises the rights and interests of people and planet, and not the profits of corporations. 3/7

But vested interests, the wealthy & powerful, continue to push for more extraction & consumption — believing they can solve the crisis, & maintain their wealth, by sacrificing the poor.

This is untrue, unjust and we will not allow it to continue. 4/7

It is time that rich, industrialised countries get serious about the #ClimateCrisis & the crisis of inequality.

It is time for a radical Global Green New Deal, that keeps us below 1.5C, tackles inequality, respects planetary limits & uproots systems of injustice. 6/7

But politicians, corporations and institutions won't just hand it to us. We must come together, across the world and build the movement to demand it.
