For months Malayalam print media, taking the lead from Manorama, splashed made up bullshit on their front pages - about the ISRO guys’ “espionage activities” and their liaisons with sexy foreign agents. Their lives were trashed just to settle an intra-party factional feud.
The top buzzword in Kerala media in 1994, when this hitjob happened?

“Anti-national”.

I’m a debt-averse person in general. The kind who uses a credit card like a debit card; who tries not to take on mortgages or in the worst case close them as fast as possible.
But there is one debt that I will continue to carry forever, no matter how much ever I pay it back.
That is the debt of gratitude to this beautiful, tiny, wet, green strip of land called Kerala.
I am what I am because of the goodness that this land and it’s people; and its libraries, schools, colleges and newspapers have infused in me.
Unfortunately, today all this lies in tatters. We all have stood together during the greatest crisis in Kerala’s history and have almost pulled off the first stage - saving lives. This wouldn’t have been possible without the heroic acts of many Indians - thank you all ❤️

#BCFC loss before tax more than doubled from £16.4m to a barely credible £37.4m, primarily due to massive investment in the squad: wages rose £16.1m (71%) from £22.5m to £38.6m, while player amortisation increased by £5.0m from £2.6m to £7.6m.
The higher #BCFC loss arose even though revenue grew by 9% (£1.6m) to £19.1m and profit on player sales was up £1.9m to £2.1m. All revenue streams increased: broadcasting £0.6m (9%) to £7.6m, match receipts £0.6m (13%) to £5.1m and commercial £0.4m (6%) to £6.5m.

Queens Park Rangers recently published financial results for the 2016/17 season, when they finished 18th in the Championship, with Ian Holloway returning for a second spell as manager after replacing Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Some thoughts in the following thread #QPR
#QPR reduced their loss by £4.6m from £11.0m to £6.4m, their lowest deficit since 2008, as revenue rose £6.1m (15%) to £48.0m and the wage bill was cut by £10.1m (25%) to £30.7m. However, profit on player sales was down £5.4m to £7.3m and interest payable was up £3.3m to £5.7m.
The main reason for the #QPR £6.1m revenue growth was the new Premier League TV deal, which resulted in a higher parachute payment, thus increasing broadcasting income by £5.7m. Commercial income rose £0.7m, but gate receipts were £0.3m lower.

Here's something people with agendas deliberately forget. We weren't DIRECTLY involved in the Poland Solidarity movement EITHER.

We just gave Lech Walesa an incredible amount of PUBLIC AND MORAL SUPPORT, that's all.
After the collapse of the Eastern satellite states & the Berlin Wall, people behind the Iron Curtain talked PLENTY about how much it MEANT TO THEM that Reagan, the Pope & Thatcher stood with them PUBLICLY and encouraged them to speak up/march.
All these people blathering about 'what kind of intervention you'd like to see the US make in Iran' are not asking that question in good faith.
