Donald Trump made 23 false claims in two days last week.

34 for the whole week.

Here is the list:

I'm going to go through some of Trump's false claims last week, because the sheer variety, audacity and needlessness is something to behold.
Trump said: "Never gotten over the fact that Obama was able to send $1.7 Billion Dollars in CASH to Iran and nobody in Congress, the FBI or Justice called for an investigation!"

Many Republicans called for an investigation. Most prominently...Pompeo, now Trump's CIA director.
In his "monster" tweet, Trump said Schiff is "finally" faulting Obama admin over Russian meddling.

Schiff has been doing so since right after the election. In Dec. 2016, he said, "I think they have erred too much on the side of caution. And that has ended up costing us."
Showing his usual remarkable consistency with fake numbers, Trump said, "We have a trade deficit with China -- that I inherited, by the way -- but we have a trade deficit of $504 billion, OK?"

It is $375 billion even if you don't count services trade, which makes it lower.
Trump said, "They sell thousands and thousands of motorcycles, which a lot of people don't know, from India into the United States."

A lie. Indian auto news outlets say Royal Enfield, the one Indian manufacturer with a US presence, sells mere hundreds a year here.
Trump said, "Because of what we've done, our energy prices are going so low, our electric costs are going so low...We're really doing a great job of bringing them down."

Energy costs have increased. The day after he spoke, the US released data showing a 3% increase in January.
Trump sometimes misstates his own policies not even to lie but because he doesn't know them. This time, he said washing machine companies are expanding factories "so they don't have to pay the 25% and 30% tax."

His tariff is 20% on the first 1.2 million imports, then 50%.
Trump said: "Great Pollster John McLaughlin now has the GOP up in the Generic Congressional Ballot. Big gain over last 4 weeks."

Democrats are up 45-42 in the February McLaughlin poll - the exact same as in January, no gain at all.
Trump on the green card lottery: "Anybody in favor of the lottery, where you pick it out and you say, 'Good, we have a new United States citizen'? Doesn't work."

It's a lottery for green cards, not citizenship. And it's not automatic - the people who win the lottery get vetted.
Trump said, "“Unemployment is at virtually record lows.”

Not even close. It is 4.1%. It was 1.2% in 1944.
Trump continued to say the US has spent $7 trillion in the Middle East (maximum estimate: $4.3 trillion) and might have more than $4 trillion in profits parked offshore (maximum estimate: $3.1 trillion).
Trump's biggest lie last week was claiming GM announced it was "moving back from Korea to Detroit." The company simply said it was closing a factory in Korea. A GM spokesperson confirmed to me and others that there are no plans to move any of the jobs or production to Detroit.
One thing Trump regularly does is move up the date of good news to make it sound more recent.

This time, he claimed Apple announced its investment "2 weeks ago" (3 weeks and 5 days) and that the record-low black unemployment was "just announced" (5 weeks prior, no longer true).
Finally, more fiction on Russia: claiming Clinton is The Real Colluder (simple nonsense) and that he'd merely been claiming the collusion allegation was the hoax (he'd dismissed the whole claim of Russian interference).

In short, the president sure is a big liar!
