Alcohol in indigenous communities has been problematic for as long as anyone can remember. Nor is it unique to Australia. They read only Murdoch's rags, listen only to 3AW and watch only @skynewsaust and consort only with people like themselves. They believed their own BS. #auspol 2/4

These were put in place to protect shareholders' from unscrupulous Directors. #auspol 1/4 Our parliament needs similar laws. If we regard polling as akin to share pricing. Laws should force the timely disclosure of information by governments (and oppositions) that could affect voter intentions (polling). #auspol 2/4

[A thread] The warning flags for @LiberalAus should have gone up in Nov 2018, when the Andrews VIC Labor govt stormed through to its second term. Poor talent, religious zealotry and a lacklustre campaign by the Libs saw Andrews win in a landslide. #auspol 1/5 The Libs didn't heed the warning from VIC and doubled down on its incompetence for the WA State election in Mar 2021. As a result the McGowan WA Labor government was returned with a massive majority, leaving the Libs with only 2 seats in parliament. #auspol 2/5

To have religious faith means having the ability to consciously suspend logic & critical thinking in the face of overwhelming contrary evidence - believing your own BS. #auspol 1/5 On vaccines, Morrison placed his absolute faith in AstraZeneca, to the detriment of superior mRNA offerings. His rhetoric the last few days has been around giving Australians choices (he actually used this justify his #EV backflip). #auspol 1/9 Morrison is subtly, and not so subtly, painting Labor as anti-freedom and dictatorial. He is being backed of course by Murdoch. He cannot fight an election on fiscal rectitude as he has blown out a trillion dollar debt and tripled the deficit. #auspol 2/9
