[THREAD] 🇭🇹 Rumours that cannibalism is common in #Haiti have been widely shared on social media. These rumours are largely based on three videos, including this one. (1/14)
But this video has nothing to do with Haiti: it was filmed in #China, at “Chimelong Ocean Kingdom”, a theme park located on Hengqin island, in October 2018, during Halloween festivities. The “bodies” were not even real. (2/14)

The @FRANCE24 Observers team identified the man and traced his journey from Ivory Coast to Russia and Ukraine. 1/10
In the video, the young Ivorian says he’s from Moscow as Prigozhin cuts in: “He’s from Ivory Coast”.
He said he wanted to help “defend his second homeland” despite not yet having Russian citizenship. 2/10

"Chinese people eating #batsoup"... You've probably seen some of these videos that have flooded social networks since the outbreak of the #coronavirus epidemic in China, with caption suggesting that eating bats was a cause of the virus. We fact-checked seven videos...
First off, we talked to several experts in Chinese cuisine. They all agreed: there is no tradition of eating bats in Chinese culture. It's generally seen as disgusting, in #Wuhan and elsewhere in #China.
