FACT CHECK: Doug Ford’s tales don’t match the reality
NDP House Leader @BissonGilles released the following after watching Doug Ford and Paul Calandra tell tales in their press conference: FACT CHECK ▶️ Ford claims he needs unlimited power to make orders behind closed doors because it takes “three weeks” to recall the house. Only 24 hours is required to recall the legislature.

Ford’s response to #COVID19 is all over the map and shows his govt has no plan to help migrant workers:

June 24: Ford says migrant workers should keep working, even when diagnosed with #COVID19. Ford issues guidance “allowing positive asymptomatic workers to continue working” 1/ June 30: Ford says he supports Windsor Health Unit decision to ignore his guidelines & prohibit workers from working with #COVID19:

Ontario failed to hit #COVID19 testing targets yet again today. Ford says he's “all over” testing & promised numbers would improve. But Ford has been making the same promise since April:

Ford on April 8: “So there are no more excuses. We need to get it done, bottom line.” 1/5 Ford on April 10: “We are ramping it up… we are doing everything we can to test as many people as possible.”
