The changes to NSW Victims Support Scheme took effect earlier this week, despite strong and widespread opposition from survivors, community groups, and advocates.

On Sunday, changes to income support payments were announced that will impact people with disablity who receive the Job Seeker payment (Newstart or Sickness Allowance) and the Disability Support Pension.

abc.net.au/news/2020-03-2… The changes include a temporary increase to JobSeeker payments of $550 more per fortnight to start on April 27th, and a second round of one off payments of $750 to be paid in July.

The fortnightly supplement will not extend to those receiving the Disability Support Pension
