1/ #game #founders, ok, you have a pitch deck, solidify your narrative, have a list of game investors. Now what? Reaching out to 100+ investors immediately? Not in a rush! I like this phased approach, I call it the "batch processing approach" 👇 2/ the idea is simple, you create a batch of "investors", each batch includes 20+ investors. Every week you reach out to a new batch, looks like this

Week 1 - email batch 1 investors
Week 2 - meetings w/ batch 1 + email batch 2
Week 3 - meetings w/ batch 2 + email batch 3...

1/ @MacConwell had great tweets about a pitch deck the other day, and I'm building on it to explain what a game studio should include in a deck; IMO, there are a few things very unique to a deck for game studios 👇 2/ Here are the items that I believe game founders should include in a deck, another slide from my talk at @Official_GDC. There should be 10 slides max. They may look very generic but a few things to highlight.

1/ If a founder is building #consumer business like #gaming #mobile #media or others and wants to raise from investors, it's crucial to find and talk to the right investor who understands the market and has good connections, especially now when many funds are leaning towards B2B 2/ yes, consumer biz is risky, hit driven, and all the tech giants like Facebook or Google would acquire you before it really gets big, but there are some investors who really like BtoC and consistently invest in the space.
