After just 3 songs, Robbie Williams leans on his knees for support. The band has just started the 4th song, but he tells them to stop.

"I'm fucked," he says out of breath. With a boyish look at the audience: "It's #LongCovid. Not my age, you bastards!"

Important for those with #LongCovid & #MECFS testing their lactate (#TheAcidTest):

The Edge recently started providing supplemental information with their meters.

It reads:
"The most common reason for inaccurate results is using a blood drop size that is too small. 👇 Note by Edge stating: "... You should have enough blood to QUICKLY and COMPLETELY fill the test window, ideally with a little to spare.

Some people choose to perform back-to-back tests to test the meter itself for consistency. If you are doing so, it is CRITICAL to perform both tests within a minute..

After publishing my paper I've had many #LongCovid & #MECFS patients reach out to me. Many started testing their lactate, and some have tried one/all parts of the treatment I tried on myself.

More recently patients started messaging me saying that their PEM or POTS is gone.. I can't begin to describe how it makes me feel that patients are actually starting to feel better 🙏

I've worked on this paper for a year, and to be frank, gave up a lot to be able to get it out. I knew it was of the utmost importance that we got this published and out ASAP.

A lot of you have asked me about some specific aspects of the makeshift treatment I did based on the #LongCovid hypothesis paper I recently published.

A couple of answers: What type of stretching 👇

I did full body stretching whenever I could/thought about it. And with full body, I actually mean full body. Even stretching my feet (covid toes!) and turning my ankles.

I also did Qigong and Tai Chi with the help of YouTube videos.

On my foraging round I found:
- Siberian Ginseng
- Mugwort
- Dandelion flowers (so many)
- Valerian
- Red Clover (not ready for picking just yet)

#PostCovid Een schermafbeelding van he...

After a lot of you asked about it, I decided to share the makeshift treatment that I tried out on myself based on our hypothesis. This was not a recommendation for others to try the same thing, we need clinical testing to better understand what are the safest and most effective treatments for an acid-base imbalance. The treatment

DISCLAIMER: I want to share what the treatment that helped me recover consists of and share my personal experience of doing this treatment.

However, this is not a suggestion to what people should do, as it needs to be studied and clinically tested first. The different components: breathing exercises, gentle stretching (NOT exercise), a very specific diet, a lot of water & more.

This sounds WAY easier on paper than it was. At this point I couldn’t stand for longer than a couple minutes & I hadn’t been able to cook in some time.

A mechanism for #LongCovid

I am beyond excited to finally be able to share what I’ve been working on for the past year. A screenshot of the publica... At the beginning of March 22, I discovered a potential mechanism for #LongCovid. It was a unifying mechanism that could explain every single symptom that patients were reporting, something I never thought possible for a disease that has over 200. Yet, this mechanism actually did.

I got reinfected.

And as a 29 year old #LongCovid patient, reinfection with omicron nearly killed me when it caused a minor heart attack.

(Fortunately, the full reinfection was registered on the 14-day EKG/holter I was wearing at the time. Very interesting data) My symptoms have been much worse since (2 weeks now), especially the clotting and cognitive problems. Hoping it gets even a little bit better soon 🤞

Not all that gets published is good research.

And not all researchers care about that if the conclusions fit their narrative.

'Promotion of non-evidence-based therapeutics within patient-led Long COVID support groups'

Our @Nature article is out now!

By @MartaEsperti, Elizabeth Semper, Sammie McFarland, Sara Citrenbaum and Dr Jeremy Rossman
nature.com/articles/s4159… "Long COVID support groups began as a patient-led movement, providing safe spaces for patients (including children and their parents and caregivers) to discuss the disease and collectively advocate for awareness, research and support."

containmentnu.nl/articles/long-…
