1/ Interesting observations about cryptos right now that nobody really seems to be talking about:

Cryptos like #bitcoin and #ethereum are getting back up to their peak levels but haven’t quite hit the news cycle again yet.

/short thread 2/ Take a look at the Google Trends results for #Bitcoin, #Ethereum and #Cryptocurrency worldwide in the past 12 months.

You’ll notice that the peak months these terms were being searched was in January 2021 and in May 2021.

1/ For anyone who is on the fence about @growclass, I remember the exact moment I was sitting in my car in the parking lot on September 9th, 2020 calculating on the phone what the ROI would need to be for me to join the program. 2/ I had calculated that if this program got me about 11 extra students paying $250 CAD each over the next 12 months, this course would pay for itself.

Considering how much I have valued @skstock's help and advice, I was confident it would be at least that, probably more.

1/ One of the best things I did in 2020 was to join a growth marketing program called @growclass

I’d seen it hover around online, I saw some friends talking about it. But I thought, wow, that looks great but it’s too expensive for me at the moment.

[continue thread ...] 2/ Then I kept coming back and getting more nervous because the more I looked at it the more I wanted to join.

It finally came to a point where I felt an irresistible urge to join the program. And I remember I was on the landing page 10 minutes before the program closed.

1/ Hey Twitter, have you applied to 157 jobs this year and gotten a handful of interviews and still not a single offer?

[continue the thread] 2/ It’s been a rough year for many of us and being unemployed is a huge added stressor to that.

Here are a few of the main issues I’ve seen with students in my program.

1/ Hello world,

@stefanpalios and I have some really exciting news. In many of my career coaching discussions, a lot of what came up was the fact that many people have started freelancing.

[continue the thread] 2/ This fell directly in line with something I read on Stefan's freelancing blog, @PulseBlueprint:

"There are nearly 60 million freelancers in the United States alone"

"58% of people that went remote due to COVID are now considering freelancing"

So that called for action

1/ Building a Coaching Business
Part 2: Updates Since Launch

Since the last thread (attached), there have been some really exciting developments.

2/ First, I got my first 4 paying students in my first cohort. We've had our first two classes so far and it has been so incredible.

The format has generally been:

1- Introductions/Check-Ins/Learnings
2- Agenda for the Day
3- Lesson + Interactive Workshop
4- Homework

1/ I hit a career milestone today. My most organized vacation plan ever.

On 8/14 I wrapped up work before a 9 day vacation:

- Contacted all my clients I would be away
- Delegated outstanding tasks
- Provided instructions for support and an emergency contact 2/ By doing that, I was able to COMPLETELY unplug from work for the whole 9 days!

- Disabled work calendars
- Logged out of work emails from my phone and computer
- Logged out of SLACK (big one)
- Logged out of Zoho

So I was able to fully enjoy my vacation.

1/ I don’t have many people I know who are at the same stage of early entrepreneurship as I am but Twitter friends, I have you, so I wanted to share a bit about my story of the early stages of building @joinclearcareer, as well as some of my biggest fears and recent milestones 🙌 2/ As I’ve mentioned before, a few years ago I started a Facebook group called the ClearCareer Peer Mentorship Community (well originally a Slack group actually but that didn’t take).
