1/7 This is incredible. @X moderation spreads #disinformation about #nuclear energy and refers in that to a non-scientific study, referred to as "scientific", by the #UNECE in cooperation with lobby organisation #WorldNuclearAssociation (WNA). 2/7 The study "" Carbon Neutrality in the UNECE Region: Integrated Life-cycle Assessment of Electricity Sources" bases all its energy related numbers around #nuclear on "WNA consultation" without any further source. A little thread about some unsurprising, but for some maybe remarkable findings. Image 2/9 Unsurprising is the conclusion that #nuclear has priced itself out of the market. Construction costs of current generation III+ would have to be reduced with 2/3 in order to maintain the global 10% market share in power production. But those costs are still increasing.
