From the beginning of the pandemic, we should have never taken risks that we don’t even fully understand.

And a year after, #COVID19 is still a novel virus and #LongCovid is still something ugly, unknown, and real.

Lying and denying just makes it all worse.

#coronavirus

🧵: There’s so much we still don’t know about #LongCovid.

How it affects adults and children.

And yet, too many ignore, dismiss, downplay, and do all the other things that should not be done with something unknown that has affected young & not and healthy & not.

.@gregggonsalves calls a rotten spade a rotten spade.

It’s not ineptitude. All these politicians that put greed and arrogance above it all, it’s just callousness.

It’s the malice in them, in their 'it affects others, not me, so who cares' mentality.

#coronavirus #COVID19 They will always have their worthless excuses.

We will soon hear them once again.

Looks like living with the virus and the whole herd immunity by infection delusion is still no bueno.

The #GreatBarringtonVariant, also known as #B117, is trouble and regrets.

So of course, countries like Germany🇩🇪 will not relax their restrictions.

Of course.

#coronavirus 🧵 on herd immunity by infection:

Our problem:

"People who are used to betting that discuss medicine. On the stock market it can go well or badly but if it goes badly you lose money. In medicine, if you lose, people die. You can't bet. You can't try. You must always consider the worst case scenario."

#COVID19 I have asked myself since early February 2020 what is it that we are waiting for to finally start abiding by the whole 'err on the side of caution' mentality?

How much worse does it have to get for us to stop postponing and prolonging, to stop regretting and start preventing.

If there is one thing you need to do today as you scroll away, is read this🧵. It tells one more story of how the ugly side of humanity shines in this #coronaviurs pandemic.

They say failure is success in the land where lies are truth.

Sweden is the biggest success of them all Sweden is not the only country that was cursed with a government that shouldn't be in a pandemic. The list is long, close your eyes and you will still know who they are.

But Sweden's curse was the worst, for too many fell for it all at home and abroad.

Hook, line, and sinker.

The new UK variant, also known as the #GreatBarringtonVariant, may be more deadly.

If indeed true—but even if it’s 'just' more transmissible & not more deadly—it looks like that whole Herd Immunity thing was just a really baaad idea. 🧵

Because unfortunately Europe "loves" to regret and not prevent.

Because sometime last year—in February/March—there was a mass allergic reaction to reality, common sense, and logic.

And unfortunately too many politicians and too many people have not recovered yet.

#COVID19 Cognitive dissonance is another big problem in Europe.

Sadly, it’s a worldwide phenomenon.

It’s January 2021!

How is herd immunity still a thing?

It’s been, since last April, a callous delusion that the arrogantly ignorant & selfish—out of denial and/or malice—fall for.

It’s a cruel delusion that—out of greed—the self centered on a power trip push for.

🧵

#COVID19 As @mattbc and @Jandelliott said long ago, "Herd immunity strategies are about culling the herd of the sick and disabled. It's grotesque."

These "strategies" are STILL the product of delusional denials—out of greed, fear or disregard for others and #LongCovid—on repeat.

Sometimes, you just need to be updated. Good thing I got @RunMorgans

June 3, 2020 in a long 🧵:

#CoronavirusPandemic (Becauseđź‘‹, still here)
#GeorgeFlyod (Because Trump didn't understand the heartbreak Floyd's death represented)
#USAonFire (Because it is) "Its crazy. A couple of hours without knowing what's happening and now I'm lost."

Over 1.81 million cases and over 105,500 deaths.

Every person that will suffer, that will die, because of these protests, these riots, is on Trump and his accomplices.

#riots2020 #CoronavirusUSA Trump has used any diversion to distract from the Coronavirus pandemic and that is why he now pours oil into the fire.

His actions and inactions in the last weeks, and months, regarding the pandemic have ensured this outcome.

From the very beginning he has lied and denied.
