A review of The Royal Foundation (TRF) 2023 annual report shows that the #Together cookbook, Meghan Markle’s Empowering Communities project with the Hubb Community Kitchen had sales income of £84,540. In total, Together has raised £911K ($1.2M) & funded £799 ($1.1M) in grants. Image Meghan Markle’s 1st royal project from 2018 had more income in 2023 than The Royal Foundation’s Mental Health & Emergency Responders programs and funded more grants than the Early Years & Emergency Responders. She hasn’t been a TRF patron since 2019 or a working royal since 2020.

Let’s play housing roulette…In 2018 Harry & Meghan were criticized for moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor instead of Apartment 1 in Kensington Palace as many expected. Their rationale was that they loved Windsor, FC was empty & could be renovated more cheaply & quickly. 🧵 In 2020 when they stepped back from royal duties, they paid back the £2.4M in taxpayer funds for the structural renovation which was in addition to the fixtures & finishes they’d personally paid for. Some of it’s more constructive than others, but approaching the 3 yr anniversary of signing their Netflix deal the temperature check is warranted. Running this mini-thread back. I called it pretty well but BP didn’t issue a summary of process improvements which would be them doing the bare minimum. The absolute minimum was doing nothing at all just as they did after announcing they were considering hiring a diversity tsar. For those questioning why Meghan doesn’t sue for defamation, there are no concrete allegations of actions she took that would substantiate bullying. The allegations are purposely nebulous & consist purely of anonymous staffers feelings w/out attributing them to Meghan’s actions.

Everyone references Christopher Geidt being sacked from BP but few consider the staff turnover at KP that happened concurrently in 2017/2018. They brought in new Private Secretaries for William, Kate, & Harry within months of Harry & Meghan’s engagement announcement. 1/ That level of turnover in senior mgmt creates a leadership vacuum in any organization. This was also just as William & Kate moved to London to take on full-time royal duties. Add in Meghan’s introduction as a senior principal in the KP household & it was a recipe for disaster. 2/

The Christmas gifts keep on coming as the Fail publishes judge’s ruling in #MeghanMarkle’s legal win. 🎁

“The #DuchessOfSussex wins her legal case for copyright infringement against Associated Newspapers for articles published in the Mail on Sunday and posted on Mail Online” I’d say this puts the kibosh on any Supreme Court appeal from ANL. But by running the statement at the bottom of the page instead of in a front page box ANL is testing the judge’s requirement for prominence. I’d love to see Justice Warby force them to print it again.

Update: ANL lost their appeal in the copyright lawsuit vs. #MeghanMarkle. The summary judgement that Justice Warby issued will stand. Meghan won both the copyright & privacy claims. ANL can still ask to appeal to the Supreme Court but success is unlikely.

On the one hand,I’m happy that so many people in Nottingham will be helped by Meghan’s donation to @wearehimmah. OTOH, I’m so incredibly fvcking angry that the character assassination perpetrated by the UK media & sanctioned by the palace made the trustees question announcing it. The charity accepted & spent the money, so clearly their issue wasn’t with Meghan’s values but with public perception, despite the work she & Harry have put into the Nottingham community supporting projects like Full Effect & the Community Recording Studio.
