At least two #Sikh lawyers were targeted using Israeli Spyware Pegasus. Advocate Jagdeep Singh Randhawa works with #KhalraMissionOrganisation on #humanrights issues. His iPhone was infected with #Pegasus in 2019 when KMO has written to ICJ to probe into human rights abuses by Indian forces in East Punjab. Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur is another #Sikh lawyer whose number is also part of leaked list of potential pegasus targets.

Media houses and NGOs which carried out #PegasusProject investigation have revealed one confirmed target of #Pegasus in #Punjab- Jaspal Singh Heiran, editor of a Punjabi vernacular. As per our I formation there were also other suspected targets from #Punjab but investigation could not lead to confirmation in their case.

ਸਾਲ 2014 ਤੋਂ ਬੀਜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕਾਫੀ ਵਧਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਚੀਨ ਦੇ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਸਾਈ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ। ਮਿਸਾਲ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਬੀਜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਲੋਗਾਰ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਦੀ ਮੇਸ ਆਇਨਾਕ ਖਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਹਿਦ ਹੱਕ (ਐਕਸਕੂਸਿਵ ਰਾਈਟਸ) ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਚੀਨੀ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਫਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਊਰਜਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਚੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਹੈ।
