Saudi Arabia announced today that it had executed 81 men. Here's a thread about who they were and what they'd done. But before we get into that, a little background on the legal process. There are several stages to the process starting with the Criminal Court. When someone is found guilty of a capital crime in that court, the case then moves to the Appellate Court. If they are still found guilty, the case moves to the Supreme Court.

Not only is his statement on #Saudi not true, but the illustration he uses when he talks about it is not even in #Saudi Arabia. But when have facts ever mattered to clowns like @billmaher? Let's compare apples to apples, shall we?

With all the Crypto craze, I just stumbled on this story (better late than never)👇🏼

Did you know that 90% of all freshwater (rainfall) flows into the Red Sea off of the western coast of Saudi Arabia? What if I told you that this doesn't have to be the case and that this was changeable using tried and tested methods that have been around for thousands of years? The entire west coast of Saudi Arabia is essentially a drainage basin for the Sarawat Mountains Watershed, resulting in the loss of a great wealth of rainwater and minerals. But all that can be rectified by looking to our forefathers for answers.

Late Action on Virus Prompts Fears Over Safety of U.S. Diplomats in Saudi Arabia nytimes.com/2020/07/01/us/… 1) Unlike New York, the situation in Saudi hasn't reached a point where people were being triaged in hospital hallways and the death rate was so great that refrigerated trucks were needed as makeshift morgues.

A few thoughts on the UN Special Rapporteur @AgnesCallamard’s report:
1. Reading through the report, it doesn’t seem investigative. It seems more prosecutorial in its wording.
2. It holds the CP as guilty until proven otherwise, with no basis in evidence. 3. It gives Turkish authorities too much leeway/credit in the sense that it does not question their hesitation in providing the full recordings either for listening or authentication. 4. When mentioning Saudi statements, it goes out of its way to discredit them ...

It seems that @IlhanMN is under the assumption that a) it’s a #Saudi war on #Yemen and b) that the coalition is fighting a nonexistent enemy and is, thus, responsible for everything that’s happening in #Yemen. She’s wrong on both accounts. If the Congresswoman bothered with a little reading she would easily found that the conflict in #Yemen is between the internationally recognized, legitimate government of that country and the illegal #Iran backed #Houthi militia.
