I use a very specific prompt to push Claude to check its work and do a lot of testing and thinking about perf and refactoring. I find I can do big features (4K LOC+ with full testing) in about an hour.
One of my favorite things about plan mode is doing diagrams of how things work now, and then being able to visualize changes to workflow or gates or architecture - just ask it to make an ASCII Art diagram and it works so well.
I also found a new hack: sometimes if I struggle with describing screenshots, i upload one and ask it to make a diagram of it with the partials or functional areas based on the code, and then i can just call it by the names it already gave to specific elements or divs on page
