In reality, the #US is not supporting #Lebanon in its severe financial crisis. It prevents Gulf & European countries from supporting Lebanon unless the government submits to the US hegemony.
The US is also putting pressure to prevent any rapprochement between Lebanon and #China.
The #US is losing more ground because people won't starve and won't be able to turn against #Hezbollah because the source of corruption emanates from all US allies who govern Lebanon for decades.
The government of #Lebanon will end up suffering US sanctions because it can't survive without oil, food and medicine. US is pushing Lebanon to starvation and that will push the country in the arms of #Iran.
By closing the borders with #Syria and preventing oil supply from #Iran and industrial relationship with #China, the #US wants #lebaon to submit and this won't happen.
The US administration hops for another choice: civil war to keep #Hezbollah busy domestically.
The #US counts on many Lebanese, ready to help to take #Lebanon towards the abyss. The Lebanese society is sharply divided and there is a fertile for the #US plans to go through without necessary been successful.
Diffiicult choice for Lebanon ahead.
