Let me correct folks abt white privilege: It’s not measured by the absence of struggle among white people. Some white people struggle too, obviously. But privilege is measured by whether people born into sim circumstances, with sim talents and sim work ethic have sim chances.
It’s not about personal anecdote either. It’s about what the data say in the aggregate. I’ve worn tired and bored by ppl using their personal story in a futile effort to disprove reams of data.
Following this logic, for white privilege to exist every white personal must be privileged over every nonehite one. And therefore, every example of nonwhite success and excellence disproves the rule. That’s just dumb.
Example: Obama is an extraordinary human. Not perfect, just extraordinary. The fact that he became president doesn’t mean white privilege doesn’t exist. To the contrary, the fact that he would have been removed long ago for doing 1% of what Trump has done prove WP *DOES* exist!!!
