As y’all may know, I’ve dealt with acne and scarring my whole life and I’ve been trying to find a proper skincare regiment to address this. No one ever told me about Korean skincare but it seems like a GAME CHANGER???
Anyway, recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Like literally I grew up thinking skincare meant using harsh and irritating American products and hoping for the best. Asian skincare has a completely different approach and it’s so refreshing.
I also grew up not realizing that scarring, hyper-pigmentation, etc. were specifically problems that Asian skin is more likely to struggle with. This is one of the many reasons why when my mother insists that she “sees me as white” it’s completely unhelpful (and pretty racist.)
BUT THAT’S A WHOLE OTHER CAN OF WORMS YIKES
I remember watching a Buzzfeed video where a Korean guy talked about what amazing skin Asian women have and it made me feel real shitty since my skin is so damaged and messed up. NAH FAM ASIAN WOMEN JUST HAVE AMAZING SKINCARE REGIMENTS.
