@rianjohnson Our comic book club mirrors your 'enthusiasm' for a fan version of Episode 8. One of us has 10 predictions for the Fan Remake. Here they are...
1. Pausing their conversation about past husbands, Leia, Rose, and Holdo all plead with Poe not to take a risky mission.
2. Poe remains defiant and actually blows up the dreadnought with a well placed bomb! Kylo, furious, fires a missile and kills all the women.
3. Cut to tastefully nude Rey.
4. Boba Fett arrives at Luke's squatted island in Sounds-Like-A-Choice 1, but he has a hot-goth Night Sister wife now.
5. Boba Fett has a not-clone real daughter who battles Luke in Leia's old bikini to mess with his head. Her menstrual cramps, ultimately, cause her to retreat.
6. Enter Vader's force ghost
7. Vader's ghost reveals that the prequels were actually a horrible nightmare that a much-cooler actual-Anakin had. (Kylo's genetic angst stems from what causes these nightmares. You guessed it: soy induced midichlorian imbalance.
8. Vader's ghost throws Yoda's ghost in a PERFECT spiral, causing the First Order to retreat
9. In an intimate conversation about parents, Finn explains to Rey how his mom is actually white. (His father appears to mixed race, which explains why some people accidentally thought Finn was black in Episode 7. In the future, he's actually white.)
10. It's at this point that we learn that Rey is actually Enfys Nest and Obi Wan's granddaughter!
CUE TRUMPETS! ROLL CREDITS! The new directors wave their pinstriped fedoras to an approving crowd as they all reveal their Real Episode 8 calf tattoos. The camera does a circle-wipe-to-black and everyone gets a girlfriend!
