Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Michael Griffin released the Department of Defense Digital Engineering Strategy today.
The strategy promotes the use of digital representations of systems and components and the use of digital artifacts to design and sustain national defense systems. The department's five strategic goals for digital engineering are:
Formalize the development, integration, and use of models to inform enterprise and program decision making

Provide an enduring, authoritative source of truth

Incorporate technological innovation to improve the engineering practice
Establish a supporting infrastructure and environment to perform activities, collaborate and communicate across stakeholders

Transform the culture and workforce to adopt and support digital engineering across the lifecycle

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the number of enforcement actions at the southwest border for the month of December. Due to the lapse in funding, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is unable to publish the enforcement actions for December on its website.
Total Enforcement Actions (individuals apprehended in between the ports of entry and deemed inadmissible at the ports of entry) for the month of December in Fiscal Year 2019 was 60,782. December marks the third consecutive month of enforcement actions surpassing 60,000.

Here's what I've learned about avoiding the ban hammer on here from studying their cases.
1) don't engage trolls.

You will be able to tell in just 1-3 tweets if you are engaging a troll/fake account trying to bait you into something.

I don't really engage anybody on the other side here, except BRIEFLY. To announce I'm blocking/muting them.
I realize of course for a lot of people on here engaging 'the other side' and getting in their face and TELLING THEM OFF is most of what they want out of the 'Twitter experience'.

But here's the problem with that: this is not a level playing field. THEY mass report.

@drawandstrike @ThomasWictor I try to have conversations with fellow reporters I KNOW are highly intelligent-- but when it comes to Trump, there's just no swaying them. He's Hitler. When I ask specifically what he's done that makes him Hitler, they look at me like I'm from Jupiter. It's just accepted "fact."
