I'm equally horrified that we can be expected not to debate 'truths' which are based on a specific account of kinds of people. The claim that 'transwomen are women' is based on a theory of gender, and more broadly or kinds, which is highly controversial however popular it is. 2/5
That is not to say it's not correct to say that 'transwomen are women'. It might be. But equally it might not. There are biological considerations of sex which have been conveniently forgotten until organisations like @Womans_Place_UK began to discuss the matter. 3/5
Philosophers openly discuss many sensitive subjects such as the existence of race, euthanasia, infanticide, God, the morality of discrimination etc without being the subject of hate campaigns. Sex and gender should be no different. 4/5
