@RoosterMagazine Premium Snapchat was probably created as a means for adult content to get around Snapchat's propensity for censoring porn in order to attract "mainstream" financing and stave off antiporn "child-friendly" groups.

@RoosterMagazine What's more fascinating about the Rooster article is the way that some of the featured performers described it as a means to create an artificial "intimacy" between the performer and her Snapchat users.

@RoosterMagazine While this is totally understandable in the wake of protection against stalkers and overaggressive "fans", it does kinda bother me a bit that this "artificial friendship" may hinder and undermine fans who really do respect boundaries and who develop real empathy for their faves.

@RoosterMagazine Naturally, you don't want to open up too much to a stranger you only meet online, and performers are absolutely entitled to their privacy and the right to set the terms of interaction with their fans...even those willingly paying for the privilege of that interaction.

@RoosterMagazine However....if a fan is so willing to pay to access such intimacy and also totally accepting of performers as full human beings and respectful of boundaries, what happens to the true cyber friendships that can develop...even with women you jerk off too?

@RoosterMagazine Cyberfriendships of distance aren't quite the same as real life flesh-and-blood friendships, any more than sexting between performers and their fans on, say, Sext Panther are not to be confused with actual real sex.

@RoosterMagazine People on Snap and Premium Snap need to understand that they are paying only for access to the aspects of the performer's private life that *the performer* wishes to reveal. They are NOT entitled to snoop into matters performers don't want to reveal, even on a private Snap.

@RoosterMagazine However, at the same time, it's not a good optive for a performer to open up in public and imply that the "intimacy" they offer through paid private chatting is really fake and that they really don't want anything from their fans other than the money.

@RoosterMagazine The second that a customer of a product feels that (s)he's been given a false ride by your product they bought and then dismissed out of hand, is an ex-customer who can do irreparable damage to your brand and your profits.

This is as true with porn as it is everywhere else.

@RoosterMagazine I'll give an example of how it's supposed to be done the right way.

I've been a paid member of the @VNAgirls network and @VickyVette's site since both were founded. I can even remember when Nina Hartley and Fyona Ryder and @SaraJayXXX were original charter members.

Your own mileage will vary with the style and preference of performer or cam girl; always cede to them.
