Been reflecting on what is the most effective street campaigning for PV.

I think there is still a massive polarization, difficult to overcome.

Broadly, the majority of the public accept that the economic benefits are doubtful to non existent.

In fact now they tell me they have always known it was going to be difficult and that there weren't any short term economic benefits (as if).

But they always revert to matters of principle. On the philosophical political belief that there cannot be any benefits in a political union. That sovreignity is an absolute value not to be messed with

I dont know where that leaves us.

We can continue talking the downsides and economic disaster that is upon us.

Most are unmoved by that.
Partly.because they think it is an exaggeration. Part because in order to uphold their sovreignity desires, any price is worth paying.

We can only plow on with highlighting the disaster. Hoping that as soon as reality sinks in, more people will realize the mistake.

There is also still too much engrained disinformation. Very difficult to break down.

The only silver lining is the following.

Brits have a history of pragmatism and aversion to change.

Hopefully this will win the day in Autumn when the reality that there is no deal on the Horizon to save Brexit will become accepted.
