Remember, its not what elites (esp politicians and govt officials) simply say that is a predictor of their character and what they will do.

Elites (especially certain politicians and govt officials) are increasingly hypocritically pointing fingers, and criticising the unethical behaviour of competitors or critics 👉🏼while implicitly denying their own equally (or worse) dastardly deeds.

The US pulled out of the UN Human rights Council.

Saudi Arabia (a notorious human right offender) is still represented on it.

Why did the US pull out?
👉🏼One of the reasons was because UNHRC members (justifiably) criticised the treatment of Arab Palestinians by Israel

Its not enough to point fingers at Israel’s appalling treatment of Arab Palestinians;
👉🏼the involvement of UNHRC members Saudi Arabia and the UAE in what is effectively genicide of Yemen is utterly amoral

But do US or UK govts object?
No. Instead they attack those who object

About three quarters (over 22 million) of Yemen’s population are in dire need of humanitarian assistance and protection. Of this 22 million, 11.3 million are children. Nearly every child in Yemen is affected by the crisis.

Do the US or UK govt care?
No
