It’s an anti-bullying kind of day. Share your personal experiences with bullying to help show the negative impact it can have on your self esteem & share how you overcame this to show that we can persevere 🙌
I really remember being locked in a cupboard at school and a bunch of girls laughing on the other side of the door ensuring I would be late to an after school club I really wanted to go to.
I sat in there and thought ‘I’m gonna be the best actress in the year, I’m gonna work my arse off and do really well & I don’t need to succumb to this bullshit’ I actually felt really calm and just though situation was dumb.
I absolutely nailed my final performance so shout out to all the girls that locked me in the cupboard for the inspiration to push myself
I’ve been bullied by the media, called fat and ‘too ugly to be a pop star’. I’ve also received death/rape threats online. I’ve been called a stale sip of beer & everything that’s wrong with music distilled into one slag 🤷‍♀️
I made a zine about all the worst things that have been said about me online & have pretty much made it my number one agenda to stand up for the outsiders, freaky people, those of us that don’t fit in and to empower girls as much as possible. Warts n all we are beautiful 💪
Words are very powerful and they can hurt us, but the words we use on ourselves can be the harshest and most damaging. I look in the mirror everyday and force myself to like and love myself. We have to re train our brains.
I’ve had Twitter hate campaigns started against me. Instead of getting caught up in that, I use the internet to try and spread positivity and self confidence. We can have control of what we engage in. Surround yourself with positivity as much as possible! 🧚🏻‍♀️💘✨
I hope sharing this helps anyone who has been or is currently being bullied. Bullies & negativity do not define you, they can influence you & you can turn that bad stuff into drive, ambition & a force for yourself. 🙏‼️ Have a beautiful day & always remember to...

This is really hard to write. I’m a survivor of childhood sexual assault. I saw how Professor Hill was treated. I also went to law school. Childhood survivors, sadly, have a higher chance of repeated sexual assaults as adults bc we have low self esteem & are
especially vulnerable to predators. It’s like we wear a label across our chests that says “potential victim.” We sometimes trust ppl others would know not to bc the lines were so blurred as children, & we were taught that love is abuse is love. Many days, I hate myself.
My doctors told me I’m not statiscally supposed to be alive. It’s hard to be proud of surviving sometimes. It’s hard to feel good ab anything. The one promise I made myself was that no matter what, I would stand up for survivors, even when I can’t do it for myself. I’m crying as

For those who doubt a sexual assault can ruin a woman's life, I want to tell you it can upset multiple lives & multiple generations. I grew up with a mother who - after her divorce from my father in her early 30's - never dated again. She seemed sad & alone & bitter - always. (1)
She taught my sister & I to be terrified of men, without ever saying why. She taught my brother to hate himself because she railed against males constantly. We believed this was all because of the divorce & could never quite understand it. (2)
My father had his faults & he never paid his fair share for child support or put in time as a parent. But he wasn't a monster, either. There was no abuse or hate or anything to explain why she gave up on all men as a young woman. (3)

Teacher is inexperienced. I agree kids today are not being disciplined at home. But tchr is in control of class. My students in inner city had to deal w/ gangs, wild dogs, drugs, no supervision at home. But in my classroom they were safe & followed rules (con't)
80% of class needed special ed. 36 students in a class.Most were 2 years behind grade level. It was up to me to make it work. My priority was their self-esteem, & teaching reponsibility. Together we set up rules & consequences that they agreed to. They were invested
In their success . Not ideal but can be done without parent involvement. Many homes only 1 parent w/ 2 jobs. I gave stud consistent praise, routines & chances to show pride in their efforts. There were many behavior problems that were challenging. The key is your expectations
