@FMF_tw_official LOL.. Hello Mr. Logical Fallacy. Only because A (women scholars) was true, doesn't mean B (Sati) was false. Sati finds mention in the literature way before the British came to India.
@FMF_tw_official There are records of several aristocratic women going sati including the likes Ramabai Peshwa, who was married into one of the most powerful empires of India (the Maratha empire).

@FMF_tw_official Women scholars existed and women were oppressed at the same time and they still are because, tokenism. Like you just used. There was Vidushi Gargi , so obviously, women didn't go Sati.
@FMF_tw_official How do you explain female infanticide which still happens? How do you explain the skewed sex ratios? How do you explain the rapes? How do you explain ppl still thinking that women can't make their own decisions? How do you explain the gender gap in employment?
