Verizon's proprietary 5G Home customers "receive 'white glove installation' of the service, a 24-hour concierge line, and free hardware upggrades" = Punishing CAC and COGS! Truck roll white glove installation is VERY spendy. iphone.appleinsider.com/articles/18/10…
Why "white glove" fixed 5G installs? Equipment like this sticking out of a window must have line of sight to a base station. If coverage doesn't exist the operator eats the cost of the truck roll and the qualified lead.
Potential customer in a store asks: "is fixed 5G service available in my house?" The right answer is "maybe" if there is a nearby base station. Actual answer is only determinable on site after an expensive truck roll.

But some businesses just do the losing money part. A critical skill is knowing the difference between the two types.
Customer-based corporate valuation (CBCV) = valuing a business on a "bottoms up" basis by valuing the customers. In a subscription business especially, this is an essential process if you want to understand if real value is being created despite a lack of current GAAP earnings.
"CBCV isn’t about being profitable from day one. It’s about variable profitability in net present value terms (while still being mindful of fixed cost overhead of course!)" Determining whether a specific business is a delicious cheesecake or a turd requires detective work.

White SAs who moan all day long about how life is so much better in so-called first world countries have no cooking clue.

In those countries you find: Cracked roads, congestion, queues at home affairs and hospitals, painfully slow bureaucracy, tardy service delivery: AND 👇🏼
Taxes are higher, incomes are lower, jobs are harder to find. And of course, I’m talking about whites here. You have no idea how good you have it in SA. You are the least affected by crime here, get higher value for money, can use privilege to circumvent bureaucracy, etc 👇🏼
I see scores of white SAs out shopping on the weekends every weekend, filling fancy restaurants to the brim all day on Sat and Sun, eating out multiple times a week, drinking bucketloads of alcohol (expensive). I’ve lived in 1st world countries - kiss this 👆🏻goodbye if you move.
