1/ So one thing I dislike about this article is that it's confusing the issues, talking about the calories from fat when the issue from the original story is really the starch that spikes blood sugar. Both are issues, but different issues.
2/ If you eat "high glycemic index" foods like sugar, potatoes, and bread, you'll spike your blood sugar. If you are overweight (like I am), it'll overwork your pancreas as it struggles to produce insulin, wearing it out, and eventually leading to Type 2 Diabetes.
3/ I've been losing weight steadily, but also, I avoid high glycemic index foods like the plague. You can be wearing out your pancreas without knowing it, and you won't know it until you've already developed type 2 diabetes.
