We are excited about the Igbo apprenticeship scheme because a White guy touched on it at a Ted Talk. That's just it really.
But that being said, I think we are missing the most relevant part of the scheme for the Nigerian entrepreneur which is Aggregation.

Aggregation and Cluster-Formation that minimises average costs of running a business, getting market insight and acquiring customers..
I was at Alaba and ASPAMDA recently. The men I went to check didn't have generators. They just paid between 8k-12k monthly for constant electricity to a private-power supplier.

Some of us spend half of that DAILY on power. That's the economy of scale obtainable from Aggregation.

I’d live here. All year.

Just loved the place.

It’s small, in the mountains, and there’s no tourism.

But the people are friendly, it’s cheap, and I felt insanely healthy here.

You could get a massive piece of baby beef for $6.

Not ideal for nightlife.
Plus, the city is close to Bogota, Armenia, Pereira, and Manizales.

All within a 1-4 hour bus ride away.

Lots of easy travel opportunities while living in Ibague.

So on the one hand we have people telling patients to MAKE SURE YOUR DOCTOR DOES A FULL ADMISSION OR YOU HAVE OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES

And on the other end we have FULL ADMISSIONS EXPOSES PATIENTS TO REAL RISK OF HARM

It’s so charming being an ER doc these days
I didn’t even mention the routine review of every 48-hour BOUNCE BACK - WHY DID YOU DISCHARGE THIS PATIENT?

I’ve never been told by my hospital to unnecessarily admit patients & I think 99.9% of physicians just do what they truly think patients need.
We also TALK TO OUR PATIENTS and do shared decision making, rather than just moving them around like chess pieces. BECAUSE THAT’S HOW IT WORKS IN REAL LIFE HOSPITAL, USA.
