- Require candidates for school board to provide a certain number of signatures on a petition before they can run

- Require a current trustee to resign from their role if running for another elected office. Not just if they win. As soon as they declare they are running.

- Allow the Mayor / County Judge to APPOINT two additional members to the school board

By a 2/3 vote, current school board trustees can
- Change their term length to 4 years
- Impose term limits, not less than 8 years, but not more than 16 years

- If 15% of registered voters sign a petition against a trustee, that trustee is up for election again, no matter how many years are left on their term

- If a district gets a D or F on the flawed rating system, all trustees are up for re-election immediately
- If a district gets an A, the district gets a $20k grant
