The current @ucu ballot for NEC members, Vice President & other officers is very important. It will determine the balance of power of a divided union & the direction it takes over a number of issues. I'll focus on one issue in tweets below. 1/
In April, on a record turnout of 63.5%, 64% voted to accept the offer to suspend strikes over #USS & set up the Joint Expert Panel. 36% voted to reject that offer. 2/
The JEP issued a magnificent, unanimous report in September which was strongly supportive of the position on the valuation that @ucu & @FirstActuarial have been pressing for years. 3/
There is a strong, perhaps even a perfect, correlation between those candidates who were among the 64% who voted to suspend the strikes to set up the JEP in April & those who are endorsed here by UCU Agenda (aka Independent Broad Left @ucuiBL): 4/

If you were among the 64% who voted to suspend the strikes in order to set up the JEP, I would recommend that you vote for the candidates who are likely to have voted as you did -- i.e., those candidates endorsed by UCU Agenda in 4/ above. 6/
(What I say above needs to be qualified by the fact that some of the candidates are part of the post-92 sector and therefore didn't vote in the April ballot, since they're part of TPS rather than USS.) 7/7
