Having to deal with the exception creates a bad rule. The security checks at airports, the justification for surveillance, the extrajudicial droning and direct action against citizens and now denaturalization is the price of having to deal with the fanatical few.
The walls we should fear are not the ones society deliberately plans to build but those that have unintentionally sprung up as a consequence of our own thoughtless virtue signaling.
