As a mother to a one-year old, I am disgusted by @RealDonaldTrump’s lies that aim to stoke fear and division. I know his true intention: to shame women, limit our access to health care, and take away our rights.
The President of the United States is lying to the American people about the Sasse bill. What @RealDonaldTrump is saying has no basis in medicine—or reality.
We should all speak up and fight back when @RealDonaldTrump is spreading lies & deliberate misinformation. The Sasse bill is about criminalizing doctors and taking away the right to safe, legal abortion. #ProtectProviders
At @PPFA, we will always provide health care and fight to protect access to that care. We will fight back with everything we have, @RealDonaldTrump, and we will win because we have truth & the American people on our side.

Fair admission, I have an early(ish) edition and they MAY have changed some of the content in later prints such as the one on the right (which I remember my parents owning). The first print was in 1994 — this copy, the 11th print, 1999.
Second point, this book alone cannot be blamed for my parents behaviour. I don't know if they had the book first, or if it backed up their own understanding. But even a flick through has re-enforced my memories of what it was like growing up in an Authoritarian household.

I want to talk about healthcare.

I am for universal health care.  HOWEVER, there are these things called *STRATEGY* and *NUANCE.* Those two tools are being twisted and framed as weakness.  THEY'RE NOT.
There was/is a narrative from the far left along the lines of "Obama should have used his power to shove through universal healthcare.  He sold us out."

First of all - NO.  That's what you do when you're a f*cking dictator.
Second:  If you’re trying to get your kid to try a new food, do you give them a little taste of it, or do you plop a pound of sautéed spinach onto their plate and tell them they’ll f*cking eat it, and they’ll f*cking like it?
