1/ Conservatives think the mere existence of POC on their side proves arguments of those POC correct re: race. But by that standard, which doesn't assess the quality of their arguments, my existence as a white man challenging whiteness means I'm automatically right? Of course not
2/ Arguments have to be assessed for their content. Diamond and Silk entertain white reactionaries (who laugh at them behind their backs), but they (and Candace) do not validate rightist positions just bc they're breaking with their group. Bc I'm "breaking with mine" too...
3/ That doesn't mean anything as 2 the veracity of the arguments. If anything, holding up black reactionaries (rejected by 9/10 of black folks) as the correct thinking ones is racist bc it presumes nearly all black folk are stupid or crazy (but Diamond & Silk figured it out!)...
4/ at least I have more than 10% of whites who agree w/me abt these things...but even then, my mere existence as a white dissenter does not, alone, validate my views. My views are either valid or not based on evidence...just wish right wingers would follow the same standard
