It will be fascinating to see what the DOJ is accused of doing to Schock that led them to basically drop the case. Changed venue from downstate to Chicago, then at least one prosecutor removed from the case.

This is why we won’t stop calling out (to use their phrase) NeverTrumpers. If you have a voice in this crucial moment and you weaponize it against the very people you claim to care about because Trump uses bad words, you will be mocked and deservedly so.
Imagine you are lucky enough to have a byline at an influential outlet on the Right and instead of pounding the traitors on the Left or giving aid to those in the trenches fighting these psychos, you instead offer up your 3,074 iteration of Orange Man and His Cultists Bad.
It is and always has been a binary choice. As the Irish say, you’re either with us or against us. If you don’t get that or you don’t have the guts to fight this every single day, that’s fine. But stop pretending you’re the voice of reason or our moral authority. You’re weak.

What now is unfolding - and will only increase in intensity - is the fallout for NeverTrumpers at NRO, the Weekly Standard (now Bulwark) and other outlets for their complicity in the Russian collision hoax. They may try to distance themselves now that it’s falling apart but...
Those of us who’ve followed it closely, and been frustrated at their collusion buy-in while at the same time either ignoring or justifying FISA/SPYgate, know the score. Hail Marys about dossiers or suddenly insistence they were “skeptics” all along won’t wash.
If you defended the FBI’s probe into Trump campaign, you defended the dossier and all of its owners and handlers. Period. To suggest otherwise is totally dishonest and an attempt to rewrite a history that’s in print.

In June, the Judiciary Committee held two hearings that discussed the challenges sexual assault survivors face in coming forward. #MeToo has shown that credible allegations often surface many years after the fact. We must respect & listen to survivors, not attack & bully them.
Some Republicans want to handle Dr. Ford’s allegations with a conference call. That is not a fair or credible approach, especially given that she is willing to testify before the Committee.
The FBI’s career professionals should conduct an independent investigation before the Committee determines how to proceed on a bipartisan basis. My Republican colleagues are making a mistake if they plow ahead with a Committee vote this Thursday. They should reconsider.
