Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who goes by the name Tommy Robinson, to face fresh Contempt of Court proceedings - and a possible jail sentence of up to two years - if found to have broken the law.
This relates to the allegation that he committed a contempt during a Facebook livestream outside Leeds Crown Court last year. The case was awaiting a decision from the Attorney General.
Geoffrey Cox QC, the AG, said: “After carefully considering the details of this case, I have concluded there are strong grounds to bring fresh contempt of court proceedings against Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (AKA Tommy Robinson)."
Mr Yaxley-Lennon will appear before a judge at the High Court in London on 22 March.
