3. The archbishop (Catholic church) of Paris started a new fundraising campaign in 2017 trying to drum up money for repairs to the building but have fallen short. The foundations spokesman has said its a shame that it took a fire to raise millions/billions. 🤔
4. Now, interestingly enough the latest major donors to the cause have been in a little tax trouble themselves. LVMH Group(Louis Vuitton) & Kering. Is the Vatican laundering money for these billionaires?
5. The Vatican has their own banks not subject to normal laws and perform their own internal audits. In 2016 they had agreed to an external audit but abruptly cancelled it.
