This competitor's entire mentality is straight-up fucked.

What Lynzee and ANN were able to do was brilliant, brave, and honestly, leagues above what so many of us have done. I don't care of what your opinion is, what they did took guts and courage.
They opened themselves to untold harassment and hate by telling the truth, but helped to finally bring some sliver of justice to a truly awful actor in the anime industry.
To sit there and tell the head of what is essentially anime's CNN "I'm siphoning off your readers because I'm not touching that story" is beyond fucked-up and shameful, to say lightly.

This isn't something to gloat about; we shouldn't be glibly saying "I ain't touchin' that."
Rather, we should be introspective, looking at where we went wrong to allow this shit to happen, unchecked, for more than a decade

We, as the media, completely failed our audiences on multiple levels, here. And I mean 👏 EVERY 👏 SINGLE 👏 FUCKING 👏 ONE 👏 OF 👏 US 👏 DID 👏
I failed my readers by not saying anything. I've been hearing stories about that one individual for a decade, but didn't have the courage to say a single goddamn word.

I still beat myself up over this, because our duty is to inform, and to bring the truth. I couldn't do that.
I was a coward, afraid of the backlash, afraid of the hate campaigns, of the potential lawsuits that could come. I couldn't be that voice for truth, when the subculture needed it most.

I let you all down.
As journalists, as the truth-tellers within our subculture, we should be looking at what Lynzee was able to accomplish, and using it as a guiding example on how we should conduct ourselves, as a whole, going forward.

I'll be doing this, and I hope others do, as well.
Quick note: I'm a very busy woman; if you're going to sit here and try to play Phoenix Wright: Twitter Edition, I won't reply, I'll just block.

Despite the complaints, it's not a breach of journalistic ethics to block people on Twitter.

That said, I'm a friendly person who loves to talk about Sakura Wars. Even if you don't agree with my comments, if you're going to be civil about things instead of, say, subtweeting me and calling me "a lying scumbag," I'll be happy to go back to sharing Sakura Wars news shortly.
