The advice segment is great. Advice is one of my favorite writing genres, and a great one for students to practice. In fact, I put an "advice" experience in The Writer's Practice for just that purpose.
Students love this one. They have to practice both empathy and judgement and wield some power when figuring out how to give advice. Looking at other advice columnists is a fantastic rhetorical analysis exercise as well.
