.@MolochDAO is an important, valuable project. @ameensol and the other folks behind it deserve credit. It's a big improvement over the status quo where funding exclusively comes from ICOs, the Ethereum Foundation, or ConsenSys.

But let me play devil's advocate here a little...
The minimum "tribute" to become a member is 100 ETH. That's a lot of money to most people. The founding members are a small group of wealthy, influential community members who already know and trust one another, and already have many open lines of communication.
The addition of @ethereumJoseph and @VitalikButerin (along with EF and ConsenSys) is a strong statement of support for the project, but it also further cements Moloch as firmly of, by, and for the oligarchs. In this way it doesn't move the needle as much as it could.
What really excites me about the concept of a DAO is the possibility for a *large* community of *ordinary stakeholders* who *don't already know each other* to form around a set of values, an initiative, and/or an opportunity - a lot like a firm (but cheaper & easier).
Don't get me wrong, Moloch is awesome and deserves our support. We should be incremental. But let's not lose sight of the long-term goal and of what will one day be possible with this incredible technology.
