1. I see that it's been about a month since I've written anything on my own blog -- though I write twice a week for @DaTechGuyblog ; latest was shared here 45 minutes ago.
2. I have a couple of topics in mind, but, as usual, I have to choose between what I'd like to do -- write -- and what needs doing -- earning side bucks and household stuff.

1. Mueller said that he won't testify anything beyond what's in the report. But Schiff wants him there anyway.
2. Pelosi and Schumer don't want an impeachment. Real reason: because it will cause information that will hurt the D party to become public.
3. They want to end it. But their charges who are unable to think strategically -- like Schiff, Waters, etc. -- will keep pushing. They'll subpoena Mueller and who the heck ever they can. They'll keep digging and digging and digging.

1. Aside from Jesse being correct -- for once -- it was never Barack Obama's goal to do anything for black Americans. Those who assumed that it was did so only because BHO is wearing brown skin.

today someone said that the minimal toolbox has WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. ever since i've been pondering the minimal software debugger's toolset and here's my go:

1) printf() or equiv
2) strace
3) tcpdump
i wavered on gdb, but came down hard on the side of "it's cheating".

also feels cheaty: sar, nmon, htop, a bunch of those newfangled "wrapper" thingies.

useful but nonessential: nm, ctags, objdump, od, xxd, objcopy, strings, ar, dlltool, ltrace, ldd ...

anyone wanna fight me?
as this extremely dignified and gentlemanly and not at all sexist site points out, you can use vise grip pliers as "pliers, a pipe wrench, an adjustable wrench, wire cutters, a ratchet, or a clamp". or a hammer, in a pinch.
